I intended to go to San Rafael del Norte, and study my Spanish. I got as far as Jinotega, and nearly froze to death. Also, I had an explosive case of diarria. I retreated to Estreli, and spent Christmas there with a nice Canadian couple. Then back to Granada. Millions of Nicaraguans come back to Nicaragua from their jobs in Costa Rica for Christmas, so it is not the best time to travel. But I enjoyed my trip, and the lovely people.
