You may have noticed that I am not a religious person. And you may find it strange that I recommend a video about a religious subject. But these are not your usual religious people. They are truly religious people, the kind of people I have no objection to at all.
This is from Bill Moyers Journal with Gary Dorrien, Serene Jones, and Cornell West. You are probably not aware of these people, I certainly wasn't, but they have lots of credentials—and what's more important, lots of passion. They talk about love, which may make you sneer—but hold off on that, and give them a listen.
I have been getting lots of feedback about the impossibility of change—exactly what they believe in. And they are putting themselves on the line.
I do wish Cornell West were less full of himself, and that Serene Jone was more assertive, and pushed back at him harder, but these are minor quibbles.
I know you have no time, but try to make time for the gospel.
